Guardian Industries, Corp. is seeking a highly motivated, knowledgeable, and experienced Industrial Mechanical & Electrical Technician with excellent Reliability Maintenance skills who can add value to our team. The Industrial Mechanical & Electrical Technician will be required to diagnose, repair, replace and install plant electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic systems for all plant manufacturing and support equipment. Excellent team work and problem solving skills are important, as well as the ability to manage priorities and tasks. On the job success in safety, attendance and quality of work is expected. Main Responsibilities: The Industrial Electrical Technician is responsible for safely providing maintenance support to our facility. Qualified candidates will utilize both excellent mechanical and electrical skills and knowledge in electrical/electronics (PLCs, A/C and D/C motors and drives, control logic, schematics and troubleshooting) in our continuous process manufacturing environment to achieve machine uptime metrics. Candidate will work positively with maintenance and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing constraints as well as being engaged in the preventative maintenance processes.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Minimum of 2 years of electrical-mechanic troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing or industrial facility/or a 2-year technical degree or diploma
  • Experience working with electrical/electronics, PLC’s, A/C and D/C motors, servomotors, and controls, as well as process control instrumentation devices (thermocouples, pressure switches, proximity sensors, etc.)
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems, conveyors hydraulic, and pneumatics systems
  • Experience with pipefitting, welding, and running conduit
  • Able to read technical drawings and schematics
  • Experience using a variety of electrical, mechanical, and shop tools including measuring and testing instruments
  • Familiarity with a work order procedures and documenting time to work orders
  • Able to perform job responsibilities and duties with little or no supervision
  • Able to bend, grip, reach, and lift 50 lbs.
  • Able to work off a ladder, scissor lift, or boom with no height limitations
  • Able to stand for most the shift
  • Willingness to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations
  • Possesses own tools
  • Ability to work in a team and industrial environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral
  • Proven reading and math skills
  • Performs other duties as required
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code
